Prof. Giampaolo Perna appointed International Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (IFAPA)
A prestigious international recognition for his contribution to excellence in psychiatry and global mental health.
The APA, founded in 1844, is the world's leading professional association of psychiatrists. The designation of International Fellow (IFAPA) is not simply an association title, but an honor conferred exclusively on physicians who have distinguished themselves internationally for their dedication to the profession, clinical excellence, and ongoing commitment to scientific research.
What does this recognition represent? Membership as an International Fellow identifies those psychiatrists who, working outside North America, adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards established by the US scientific community. For Prof. Perna, this achievement represents the consolidation of an international career that began with his PhD and continued through decades of clinical and academic activity in Italy and the United States.
Commitment to the future. This title strengthens the link between Prof. Perna's clinical practice and global scientific networks, ensuring that patients receive treatment that is constantly updated in line with the most advanced international guidelines.
“Being recognized as an APA International Fellow is an incentive to continue the mission of integrating science and humanity, bringing innovations in international psychiatric research into everyday clinical practice for the well-being of patients.”
